A sample of each article will be required to be lodged at the Gaol, by the successful tenderer, for reference in case of dispute as to size or quality.

Straw.

Straw for bedding, wheaten straw, best quality, at per ton.

The Provisions to be all of the best quality. The Sugar, in all cases, to be Yellow Counter, and one pound samples are required to be sent in, sealed, with each tender. Samples of requisites and clothing may be seen at the Establishment for which they are intended, and samples are required to be sent in with each tender.

The supplies for the Gaol are to be delivered at the Gaol, and are to be subject to the approval of the Warden or other authorized officer.

The supplies for the Hospital are to be delivered at the Hospital, and are to be subject to the approval of the Provincial Surgeon, or other authorized officer.

The supplies for the Asylum are to be delivered at the Asylum, and are to be subject to the approval of the Medical Attendant, or other authorized officer.

The supplies for Charitable Aid are to be taken from the Store of the Contractor, and are to be subject to approval by an authorized officer. They will be required to be weighed and delivered in the presence of such officer on certain days in the week to be from time to time fixed.

Separate tenders must be sent in for supplying the Gaol, Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and Charitable Aid.

Any of the foregoing to be supplied for Immigration purposes if required.

Sweeping Chimneys and Night-work at Provincial Government Buildings, Police Station, Hospital, and Lunatic Asylum, as per specification to be seen at this Office.

Pauper Funerals.

For Coffin and Furnishing, and performing Funerals.

Coals.

Best English and Colonial at per ton, delivered at any of the Provincial Government Offices, Gaol, Hospital, or Lunatic Asylum, as required.

Tents.

Tents for Survey and Engineer’s Departments, as per sample to be seen at the Survey Office.

Tools and Sundries.

A separate tender will be required for supplying Rata or Manuka in four feet lengths, delivered at the Gaol or Lunatic Asylum.
