being sections Nos. 1 to 44. And also
all that piece of land known as the
township of Sandon bounded towards the
north by sections Nos. 7 and 8 towards
the east by the continuation of the east
boundary of section No. 7 towards the
south by section No. 15 and towards the
west by sections Nos. 7 and 15.


Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert
Esquire Superintendent
of the Province of Wellington
in the Colony of New Zealand.

WILLIAM FITZHERBERT Super-
intendent of the Province of Wel-
ington do hereby in pursuance of the
regulations in this behalf proclaim and
notify that the several allotments of land
situated in the Pahaua Block and in the
Awhea Block in the East Coast District
in the Province of Wellington and speci-
fied in the schedule hereto except such
as may be reserved under the provision
hereafter mentioned will be put up for
sale by public auction at the Crown
Lands Office in the City of Wellington
on Wednesday the 17th day of April
1872 at one o’clock in the afternoon.

If at any time during the sale it shall
appear to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands beneficial or expedient for the
public service to reserve from sale either
of the sections specified in the said
schedule or to vary the order in which
they are to be put up he is hereby author-
ised to do so.\n

His Honor the Superintendent has
been pleased to appoint

John Dranfield, Esq., J.P.

to be a Visiting Justice of the Gaol at
Wellington, in the place of W. W.
Taylor, Esq., J. P. resigned.

License to Kill Wild Cattle.

Superintendent’s Office,
Wellington.

By virtue of the power vested in me
by Clause 7 of the Act of the
Provincial Council of Wellington, Session
13, I hereby authorise

George Knight

of Teramea Run, Wairarapa, farmer, to
Kill Wild Cattle the property of the
Government of the Province.

Given under my hand this 28th day
of February, 1872.
