Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert, Esquire, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
I, WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand by virtue of the powers vested in me under and by virtue of an Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Wellington, session XXII No. 6 and intituled "The Voluntary Associations Act, 1872." Do hereby proclaim and declare that the Association of members now known as the Wellington Benevolent Society shall from the date hereof be a Body Corporate under the name of The Wellington Benevolent Institution, to be composed of five members, to be nominated by the Superintendent, all subscribers of not less than Ten shillings per annum, and all donors of Ten pounds and I do hereby nominate the five undermentioned persons to be members namely: His Worship the Mayor of Wellington, the Provincial Secretary, E. Pearce, Esq., C. J. Pharazyn, Esq., H. Sewell, Esq., and do proclaim that the first meeting of "The Wellington Benevolent Institution" shall be held at the Provincial Council Chambers, in Wellington, on the 28th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this twentieth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Bye-Law No. 1.
BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of Wanganui, made under special order of the said Council dated the twenty sixth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, confirmed the sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy two, and sealed with the common seal of the said Borough this sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy two.
In pursuance of section 181, of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the Borough of Wanganui, ordained as follows, that is to say:β
That the whole of the parts numbered from I to XI inclusive, contained in the 13th Schedule to the Municipal Corporations Act 1867, be and the same are hereby adopted in and for the Borough or Wanganui.
Passed the Council, this sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy two.

Sheep Inspector's Report.
NOTICE has been received at this Office from the Inspector of Sheep for the Wanganui District, that he has cancelled the clean certificate of J. CAMERON, Esq., Marangai, for dry portions of flock numbering about, 1,300. Certificate cancelled 8th November, 1872.
