Warrant.

In pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The Highways Act, 1871," I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint that for the Ward mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto, the voters qualified to vote for the election of a Warden in such ward shall meet at the time and place set opposite the name of such ward, in the second and third columns of the same Schedule, for the purpose of electing a Warden for such ward, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. Frederick Martin, of Otaki. And I do hereby appoint the person whose name is stated in the fourth column of the same Schedule to be the presiding officer at the meeting to be held at the time and place mentioned in the second and third columns of the said Schedule, opposite the name of the said person.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 21st August, 1872.

His Honor the Superintendent has appointed a meeting for the election of a Warden to fill vacancy in the representation of the ward mentioned in the first column of the Schedule below, to be held at the time and place mentioned in the second and third columns of the said Schedule.

The gentleman whose name is stated in the fourth column has been appointed as presiding officer for the meeting:—

License to Kill Wild Unbranded Cattle.

By virtue of the power vested in me by Clause 7, of the Act of the Provincial Council of Wellington, Session No. 18, I hereby authorize

WILLIAM IRONS,

of Masterton, settler, to kill any cattle the property of the Government, of the Province.
