Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

I WILLIAM FITZHERBERT Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand by virtue of the powers vested in me do hereby proclaim and notify that the Ordinance entitled “An Ordinance to increase the efficiency of the Constabulary Force” passed by the Legislative Council of New Zealand on the twenty-second day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine shall be in force throughout the Province of Wellington on and after the sixth day of August one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this sixth day of August one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me I do hereby appoint

to be a member of the Board of Health for the port of Wellington.

Public Notice.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, Aug. 2, 1872.

To persons dealing with lands purchased from the Crown on and from 1st February, 1871.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lands above referred to are under the operation of the “Land Transfer Act, 1870,” and the “Land Transfer Act, Amendment Act, 1871”; and that all Grants issued in respect of such lands will be forwarded to the District Land Registrar for registration, and, to be afterwards delivered or otherwise dealt with by him as the law directs.

The practice of sending authorities to this office respecting the delivery of such Grants must therefore be discontinued.
