Proclamation.
By His Honor William Fitzherbert Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by a certain Proclamation dated the second day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight the boundaries of the township of Alfredton in the East Coast District of the Province of Wellington are fully set forth and described And whereas it is expedient and desirable for purposes connected with the preparation and issuing of Crown Grants for land in the said township and surrounding country that the said township should be declared to be in the Wairarapa District Now therefore I William Fitzherbert Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Township of Alfredton shall in future be in the Wairarapa District and shall be so described for all purposes connected with the preparation and issuing of Crown Grants.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington, this fourth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
