Β£1,000 Reward.
AVAILABLE GOLD FIELD.

Wellington, June 27, 1872.
WHEREAS a notice was issued dated the 15th day of January, 1862, under the hand of Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, the then Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, to the effect that the Provincial Government of Wellington would award a sum or sums of money, not exceeding on the whole the amount of One Thousand Pounds sterling (Β£1,000), payable to any one person, or distributable rateably amongst any number of persons who shall discover and make known to the Government the existence of an available Gold Field within the Province of Wellington.
And whereas such notice is still in force, I, William Fitzherbert, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby give notice that all claims for the payment of the reward, or any portion of it, are to be sent in to the Government addressed to the Provincial Secretary.
By available Gold Field is meant a district which shall have afforded continuous employment to a body, of not less than 700 (seven hundred) diggers, for a period of twelve (12) months.

Election of Provincial Council Member for Town of Wanganui.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for general information, that a writ for the Election of a Member to serve in the Provincial Council, for the Town of Wanganui, having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of 'An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,' the Returning Officer has returned the said writ, with a certificate that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Town of Wanganui:
