Pahautanui Road District.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, June 15, 1872.

NOTICE has been received at this office, that at the Annual Meeting of the above Road District, held on the 31st May last, the following persons were elected a board of Wardens:—

E. Boulton
B. Draper
G. Goldfinch
S. Flighty
D. Cook
D. Gallaway, Chairman.

Proclamation.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by Proclamation under my hand, dated the third day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, I did declare the Borough of Wanganui to be divided into three several Wards, namely,—Cook’s Ward, Queen’s Ward, and St. John’s Ward;

And whereas in Cook’s Ward there is now one member in excess, and in Queen’s Ward two extraordinary vacancies, and in St. John’s Ward one extraordinary vacancy. Now, therefore, I, William Fitzherbert, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in exercise of the power and authority for this purpose in me vested, do hereby allot—

Councillor Thomas Valentine Brown, to Cook’s Ward.
Councillor John Henderson, to Cook’s Ward.
Councillor William Hutchison, to Cook’s Ward.
Councillor Robinson, to Queen’s Ward.
Councillor John Ward, to Queen’s Ward.
Councillor Nathan, to St. John’s Ward.
Councillor Watt, to St. John’s Ward.

And do hereby determine that one seat shall be deemed vacant in Queen’s Ward and one seat in St. John’s Ward.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Lower Rangitiki Road District.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, June 15, 1872.

NOTICE has been received at this office that Mr. John McKelve has been elected Chairman of the above Road Board in the place of Mr. C. C. Graham.
