Assent of His Honor the Superintendent to Acts of the Provincial Council.

Wellington, 23rd March, 1871.
HIS HONOR the Superintendent has this day, in the name and behalf of his Excellency the Governor, assented to the following Acts of the Provincial Council of the province of Wellington, Session XX., viz:—
An Act to make further provision for the erection of a Patent Slip in the Harbour of Port Nicholson.
An Act to appropriate the Revenue of the Province of Wellington for the period commencing the last day of February, 1871, and ending the 31st day of March, 1871.
An Act to fix the amount of Rates to be levied under the “District Highways Act 1871.”
An Act to amend an Act of the second Session of the Provincial Council intituled “An Act to promote the Establishment of Common Schools in the Province of Wellington.”

Sheep Inspector's Report.

NOTICE has been given to this office by the Inspector of Sheep for the East Coast District that he has granted a clean certificate to Messrs. R. & F. Mansell, Te Nui, Dated, 17th Feb., 1871.

Wellington, March 18, 1871.
NOTICE has been given to this office by the Inspector of Sheep for the Rangitikei and Wanganui Districts that he has Examined a Separate flock of Sheep, numbering 900, belonging to Mr. John Winks, Rangitikei, and finds them clean and free from scab;
he also reports the entire flock of Messrs. Owen & Lethbridge, Wangaehu, infected with scab. Also, that he has examined a portion of the flock of Mr. G. Y. Lethbridge, Turakina, numbering about three thousand five hundred, and finds them infected with scab.
