Proclamation.
By His Honor WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington it is declared that all reserves for the sites of townships or suburban lands for the sites of agricultural and small farm settlement or for any other purpose of public advantage safety convenience health or enjoyment shall be determined by the Superintendent who shall notify the same by proclamation wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made. And whereas it would be of public advantage if certain sections of land in the township of Palmerston in the Manawatu district were set apart for the use of the Public Works Department of New Zealand. Now therefore I William Fitzherbert Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that town section No. 5 containing 1 rood and town section No. 7 containing 2 roods and situated in the township of Palmerston in the Manawatu district aforesaid are hereby reserved and set apart for the use of the said Public Works Department of New Zealand.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this twentieth day of July one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

By His Honor WILLIAM FITZHERBERT, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

And whereas it would be of public advantage if a certain section of land in the Manawatu district was set apart for a ferry reserve. Now therefore I William Fitzherbert Esquire Superintendent of the Province in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that Rural Section No. 166 containing 100 acres more or less and situated in the township of Fitzherbert in the Manawatu district is hereby reserved and set apart by me as a reserve for a Ferry.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this twenty-second day of July one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.
