IT is hereby notified, that a Writ issued for the election of a Superintendent of the Province of Wellington has been returned with a certificate to the effect that

has been duly elected.

By His Honor William Fitzherbert Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.
I WILLIAM FITZHERBERT Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in pursuance of the power vested in me and declare that I do hereby prorogue the Provincial Council of the said Province of Wellington and that the said Provincial Council is prorogued accordingly.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this Second day of May One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.
