Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Foxton Highway District.

Wellington, 11th Feb., 1870.

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to this office for the alteration of the Boundaries of the Foxton Highway District in the manner following, viz:—

The boundary commences at Pakenahau where the Northern boundary of the Awa Hou Block intersects the right bank of the Manawatu River; thence along said boundary to Pukehinau, and Omarupaku, and onwards to the Sea Coast, thence by the Sea Coast to the mouth of the Manawatu River, thence along the right bank of the Manawatu River to the starting Point.

Excepting always the portion of land, contained within the following boundaries (and tinted red on the tracing), commencing on the right bank of the Manawatu River at the South West corner of section No. 248, thence in a straight line to the South East corner of section No. 236, thence along the Eastern boundaries of sections Nos. 236 and 237, until the production of the line intersects the Southern boundary of section No. 248, thence along the Southern boundary of section No. 248 to its South East corner, thence along the Western boundary of section No. 250 to its South West corner, thence in a straight line to the South Eastern corner of section No. 203, thence along the Eastern boundary of section No. 203 to its North East corner, thence in a straight line to the South East corner of section No. 232, thence in a straight line to the South Eastern corner of section No. 464, thence along the Southern boundaries of sections Nos. 464 and 465 to the South West corner of section No. 465, thence along the Eastern side of a public road line, and again across another public road line to the South East corner of section No. 537, thence along the Eastern boundaries of sections Nos. 537 and 477 to the North East corner of section No. 477, thence along the Northern boundary of section No. 477 to its North West corner, thence along the Western boundaries of sections Nos. 477 and 537 to the South West corner of section No. 537, thence across a public road to the North East corner of section No. 467, thence along the Eastern boundaries of section No. 467 and Block IV to the North West corner of Town Acre No. 98, thence on a line produced on the bearings of the Northern boundary of said section No. 98 to the Manawatu River, thence along the right bank of the Manawatu River to the starting Point.

And notice is hereby given that at the expiration of six months from this date, His Honor the Superintendent will accede to the application, unless sufficient cause be shown to the contrary.
