The number of Sheep returned for the year ending 31st May, amount to 75,928; assessment, £158 3s 8d.
There are five flocks under Scabby Report, viz. —
- J. T. Edwards, Porirua
- D. Richards, Porirua
- Messrs. Wall, Porirua
- Messrs., Pukerua
- Frank Smith, Paikakariki
Attention is being paid towards cleansing these flocks, and after shearing and dressing the greater portion of them will be boiled down.
In the Terauwhiti, Ohariu, and Makara Districts, Scab is now unknown, and there appears every prospect of the Sheep remaining clean, the district having been free from Scab for the last two years.
