Under the Provision for the Non-Payment of Rates Act, 1862.

By Order of the Court.

NOTICE is hereby given that George Thomas is instructed by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, to sell by Public Auction, at Thomas's Auction Mart, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Wednesday, the 20th day of April, 1870, at 2 o'clock p.m.: All that piece of land containing 100 acres, or thereabouts, situate in and being Section numbered 50 on the plan of the Ohariu District.

IN accordance with the provisions of Clause 11 (eleven) of the Wanganui Toll Gate Act, 1869, of the Provincial Council of Wellington, I hereby convene the first meeting of the β€œGeneral Road Board of the Wanganui and Rangitikei Districts,” to be held at Price's Hotel, Turakina, on Monday the 24th day of January, 1870, at twelve o'clock noon.

Public Notice.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 11th Jan., 1870.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned block of Unsurveyed Crown Land, supposed to be auriferous, is hereby reserved from sale until further notice, viz: Commencing at the mouth Wharekauhau Stream on the shores of Palliser Bay, thence Westerly along the Sea Coast for a distance of two miles, thence in a straight line bearing due North Magnetic until it intersects the production of the line forming the Northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 17, 19, 15 and 60, Western Lake Block, Wairarapa District.

Sheep Inspector's Report.

Wellington, 6th Jan., 1870.

IT has been notified to this Office by the Inspector of Sheep for the East Coast District, that he has examined the sheep of Messrs. MAUNSELL and YORKE, Pakowi (Maitaikuni Block), and found them slightly infected with scab.
