Proposed Boundaries of the Palliser Bay Highway District.

Provincial Secretary's office,
Wellington, June 28, 1870.

IT is hereby notified that application has been made to His Honor the Deputy Superintendent to proclaim a Highway District with the following boundaries, viz :

Commencing at the inter section of the north western boundary of Section No. 104 Pahaua block with the Pahaua river; thence in a straight line to the north west corner of Section No. 100 same block; thence down the Rewaikaitu stream to the south east corner of Section No. 158; thence in a straight line to its south west corner; thence along the eastern boundary of Section No 123 Awhea block to its north east corner; thence in a straight line to the north west corner of Section No. 125; thence in a straight line to the south east corner of Section No. 126; thence in a straight line to its south west corner; thence up the Oteru river to the south east corner of Section No. 86; thence in a straight line to the south west corner of Section No. 85; thence down the Awhea river to the north east corner of Section No. 155; thence in a straight line to its north corner; thence in a straight line to the head of the Turanganui river; thence along the left bank of said river to the Wairarapa Lake; thence across the Lake to the south east corner of section No. 64 Western Lake block; thence in a straight line to the north east corner of Section No. 62; thence in a straight line to its north west corner; thence in a straight line to the south east corner of Section No. 73 Wainuiomata district; thence along south boundary of said Section till it intersects the Wainuiomata river; thence along the left bank of the said river to its mouth; thence along the sea coast to the mouth of the Pahau river; thence along the right bank of said river to the starting point.

And notice is hereby further given that at the expiration of six months from this date, it is His Honor's intention to proclaim the proposed Highway District, should no sufficient objection be meanwhile raised to his doing so.
