Karori and Makara Road Highway District.

IN ACCORDANCE with the Provisions of Clause 2 of the Karori and Makara District Highways Act, 1869, of the Provincial Council of Wellington, I hereby give notice that a Meeting of the Ratepayers of the Karori-Makara Road District will be held, at the School-house, Karori, on MONDAY, the 10th day of JANUARY, 1870, at noon, for the purpose of electing a Chairman and a Board of Wardens for the above District, and Auditors of Accounts; and imposing a rate or rates for the maintenance and repairs of roads within such District, in manner provided by the 5th Section of the District Highways Act, 1867.

BY ORDER OF THE COURT.
NOTICE is hereby given that GEORGE THOMAS is instructed by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, to sell by public auction, at Thomas’s Auction Mart, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Thursday the 31st day of March, 1870, at 2 o’clock p.m. All that piece of land containing 100 acres, or thereabouts, situate in and being section numbered 36 on the plan of the Ohariu District.
Dated this 22nd day of Dec. 1869.

WHEREAS some evil disposed person or persons are believed to have killed a valuable cow, and also a working bullock, of mine, early in the month of November last, I hereby offer the above reward for such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders.
