HIS HONOR the Deputy Superintendent has been pleased to appoint
Thos. Powell, Esq., of Wanganui,
to be a member of the Wanganui Bridge Committee, vice W. R. Boyle, resigned.

Sheep Inspectors' Reports.

Wellington, 24th Nov., 1869.

The following certificate has been forwarded by the Inspector of Sheep for the Wellington District.

Porirua, 6th November, 1869.

I hereby certify that I have this day examined Three hundred and forty Wethers in possession of Major J. T. Edwards, A. Tar brand on the rump; at the yards adjoining the homestead, and to the best of my belief they are free from Scab, and further that Major Edwards informs me that the same sheep have been a portion of a separate flock since April last, and that they have not been mixed with any infected Sheepβ€”and further that no dressing has been put on them since about the month of June.

Also the Inspector of Sheep for the East Coast reports that he did on the 16th November, receive notice from Messrs. Miller Brothers & Cameron, Tauerau, of Scab having broken out in their Flock on 6th November, 1869.

The following certificate is published for general information under Clause 46 of the Scab Act.

Wai Nui, 27th Nov., 1869.

THIS is to certify that I have this day examined a Flock of mixed Sheep numbering One thousand three hundred more or less, being in possession of Mr. J. S. Smith, branded F S on the shoulder off side, and find that they are free from Scab or Catarrh.
