Auckland, July 22nd, 1869.
WHEREAS by an order in Council made on the 23rd June, 1869, it was ordered by His Excellency the Governor in Council, under the authority of the "Native Lands Act 1865," and the "Native Lands Act 1867," That the claims of Ihaka Te Moe and others to a piece of land, called Akura, in the District of the Wairarapa, Province of Wellington, heard and determined by the Native Land Court of New Zealand, on the 17th of March, 1869, should be reheard before the Judge and two of the Assessors of the Court, or either of them therein mentioned, and that such rehearing shall take place not later than the 1st of September next.
Now I hereby give notice that a Sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Masterton, Wairarapa, on the 1st of September next, for the rehearing of the aforesaid Claim.

Proposed Brunswick Valley Highway District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed to form a new Highway District, to be called the "Brunswick Valley Highway District." The boundaries of which are as follows: North and West by the Brunswick district, East by the present boundaries of the farms of A. McGrath, S. Harris, C. Vincent, J. Wall, A. Murray, G. Walker, and fifty acres of section No. 23, divided longitudinally to River Bank Road and contiguous to Brunswick Road. South by the present boundaries of the farms of the late S. Foreman, Andrew Murray, Alexander Murray, Rickards, and fifty acres of section No. 22, divided longitudinally to River Bank Road and contiguous to Brunswick Road.
And Notice is hereby further given that at the expiration of six months from this date, the said Brunswick Valley Highway District will be proclaimed by His Honor the Superintendent should no sufficient objection be raised to his doing so.
