Election of Wardens, Matarawa Road Board.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 22nd June, 1869.

IT has been notified to this office that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the Matarawa Road District held on the 10th instant the following were elected a Board of Wardens for the current year, viz,

Messrs. James Findlator
W. Wilson
J. Fleetwood
W. Reid
J. Bertram
D. S. Durie

and at a meeting of the Board immediately afterwards, Mr. J. Findlator was elected Chairman.

Break of Day Gold Mining Company.

I, THE UNDERSIGNED, LIPMAN LEVY, of Wellington, Merchant, hereby make application to register “The Break of Day Gold Mining Company” (Registered) under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liabilities Act, 1865” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is to the best of my knowledge and belief true in every particular, namely:-

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Break of Day Gold Mining Company Registered”

  2. The place of intended operations is at Makara, near Wellington.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is One hundred and sixty Pounds, in sixteen shares at ten Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is sixteen pounds.

  5. The name in full of the Manager is LIPMAN LEVY.

  6. The office of the Company is at the place of business of John Plimmer, Lambton Quay, city of Wellington, aforesaid.

  7. The names in full and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of shares held by each of them is as follows:
