Election of I. E. Featherston as Superintendent.

IT is hereby notified that a writ issued for the election of a Superintendent of the Province of Wellington has been returned with a certificate to the effect that
Isaac Earl Featherston
has been duly elected.

Porirua Ferry School District Defined.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by a certain Proclamation by His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent as aforesaid dated the eighteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, a certain portion of the District of Porirua in the said Province was declared to be a School District under the name of the “Tawa Flat School District” and under the provisions of an Act of the Provincial Council, Session II, No. 6,
and whereas it is expedient to divide the said district for the purpose of forming a New District to be called the “Porirua Ferry School District,” such new district to include adjacent sections not included within any of the present School District, and
WHEREAS the requirements of the “Education Act Amendment Act 1867” have been complied with Now therefore I Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington aforesaid in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that such portion of the said Province as is comprised within the following boundaries shall form a district for the purposes of the said Act, viz: Bounded on the South by the Northern boundary line of Sections 51, 52, and a continuation of the latter in a straight line to the Sea Coast on the West. On the East by the Eastern boundaries of Sections 53, 56, 58, 59, 61, 108 and 107, and on to the Eastern boundaries of Sections 101, 100 and 99. On the North and West by the Northern boundary of said section 99, and thence along the shores of Porirua Harbour and the Coast Southward to the point where the Southern Boundary produced as aforesaid strikes the Coast. And I do hereby further declare that the said district shall be called the “Porirua Ferry School District” and also that the said Act shall come into operation within such district on the day of the date hereof.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this Fourth day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
