Election Notice.
ELECTION OF SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON.
IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, James Coutts Crawford, Esquire, Principal Returning Officer for the Province of Wellington, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the fourth day of May, 1869, under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as Superintendent for the Province of Wellington, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the seventeenth day of May, 1869, at noon, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Tuesday, the twenty-fifth day of May, 1869.
