Sheep Inspectors’ Reports.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 23rd March, 1869.

THE Inspector of Sheep in the East Coast District reports that on the 21st February he granted a clean certificate to Mr. John Moore, Waikaraka, for his Ewe flock, and that on the 11th March he granted a clean certificate to Messrs. Miller Bros. & Cameron, of Taueru, for their flock.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 6th April, 1869.

THE Inspector of Sheep in the Wairarapa District reports that on the 21st March, he cancelled the clean certificate held by Mr. A. Collins, of Te Ori Ori; and that on the 29th March he gave a clean certificate to Mr. Wm. Rossiter, West Taratahi.

Rangitikei, April 2nd, 1869.

Sir,—I have the honor to inform you that on the 30th and 31st ultimo, I examined the flock of Richards Bros., of Lower Wangaehu, and discovered the same to be infected with Scab; they having failed to give notice of the existence of the disease in their flock, proceedings will be taken against them for the same.

Also, a separate flock of 3000 sheep, belonging to Mr. W. T. Owen, was discovered to be infected by two scabby sheep belonging to Richards, which were found with them.

THE Sub-Inspector for the Wellington District has notified to this office that he has received a report from J. T. Edwards, Esq., of Porirua, to the effect that the sheep, late the property of Mr. Fraser, of Titai, are infected with scab.

Carterton School District.

IT has been notified by the Chairman of the Carterton School Committee that

Mr. Richard Fairbrother
was elected Collector for the said District on the 27th of March last.

Turakina School District.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 16th April, 1869.

IT has been notified by the undersigned Chairman of the Turakina School Committee, that a new Committee of twelve was elected at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above District on the 12th of March last, that

George Yates Lethbridge, Esq.
was elected Chairman of Committee,

Mr. Robert Harris
chosen Collector, and that a house rate of £1 a year was unanimously agreed to.

Kaitoki School District.

was appointed Collector for the above district.

has been elected in his stead.
