Appointment of Chief Surveyor.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint

to be Chief Surveyor for the Province.

IT has been notified to this Office under the hand of the undermentioned Chairman that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above District held on the 30th day of June, 1868, at the School House, the following gentlemen were elected a School Committee.

" Patrick Monaghan
" Stephen Lancaster, Chairman.

And also, that at a subsequent meeting of the above Committee, Mr. Edward Toomath was elected Treasurer.

ELECTION OF WARDENS.

NOTICE has been given to this Office that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above District, held at the Highland Home, Upper Hutt, on the 27th day of June, 1868, the following were elected a Board of Wardens for the ensuing two years, viz:
