Governor’s Assent to “Unreclaimed Land Mortgage Act, 1868.”

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and signify that the Act of the Provincial Council of Wellington Session XVI. No. 5 intituled “An Act to authorise the Superintendent to raise by way of Mortgage a sum not exceeding £25,000 on the Unreclaimed Land in the Harbour granted to him under the Public Reserves Act 1854” which was reserved by me for the signification of His Excellency the Governor’s pleasure thereon, having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to assent to the same.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington this twenty-seventh day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

Act left to its Operation.

Superintendent’s Office,
Wellington, 27th June, 1868.

THE following Act passed by the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington intituled:—

“An Act to Amend an Act intituled ‘An Act to Shorten the Notice of Sale of certain Lots in the Reclaimed Land in Wellington’” Session XVI. No. 2.

having been laid before His Excellency the Governor, His Excellency has been advised not to exercise his power of disallowance in respect of it.

ELECTION OF WARDENS.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 16th June, 1868.

NOTICE has been given to this Office under the hand of the Chairman of the Board that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above District, held at the School House, Masterton, on the 6th inst., the following were elected a Board of Wardens for the ensuing two years, viz.:
