NOTICE has been given to this Office under the hand of the undersigned Chairman, that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above District, held at the residence of Mr. Wm. France on the 23rd of March, 1868, the following gentlemen were elected members of the Board of Wardens for the ensuing two years, viz:

Notice to Mariners.

QUEEN’S WHARF, WELLINGTON.

Harbour Master’s Office,
Wellington, 2nd April, 1868.

IT is notified that on the night of Wednesday, the 15th inst., and every night thereafter, a fixed red light will be exhibited from the flagstaff on the outer end of the Queen’s Wharf extension, and will be visible from N.N.E. round by E. to S.S.E. Compass bearings to light:

Jerningham Point, W. by S.; Halswell Point, W. by S. ¼ S.; Soames’ Island Lighthouse, S.W. ½ W.; Ngauranga, S. by W. ½ W.; Pipitea Point, S. ¼ W. The bearings are magnetic; variation 15° E. in 1855.
