Proposed Division of the Western Hutt Road District

Provincial Secretary’s Office,

Wellington, 1st March, 1867.

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to His Honor the Superintendent by the Chairman of the Western Hutt District, in compliance with a resolution passed at a meeting of Rate Payers on the 1st October last, to divide the said Western Hutt District, and that it is His Honor’s intention to divide the said district at the expiration of six months from this date, unless satisfactory reasons are shown in the meanwhile to the contrary. The intended boundary line is as follows, viz.—the line of the Belmont Road from its junction with the Hutt Road until it reaches the /Boundary line between sections 75 and 115, thence along the said boundary line until it reaches the Western boundary line of section 186, thence along the Western boundary lines of sections 186, 185, 184, 183, and 314, thence along the Eastern boundary line of section 315, thence from the North-eastern corner of section 316, a line east of North, so as to strike the present Western boundary of the sections about half way between the Hutt gorges and the Small Farm Reserve at Pahautanui.
