In the Ohariu and Makara Districts scab is now quite extinct.

At Terawiti scab still exists; upwards of six miles of fencing has been erected at a considerable expense to enclose the flocks, and every exertion is being made to eradicate the scab.

In the Porirua District scab has broken out. Also, between Porirua and Paikakariki, in consequence of sheep mixing with the flocks.

R. D. WALLACE,
Inspector.
Sheep Inspector’s Office,
Wellington, 14th October, 1867.
