Wellington School District.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Second Session of the Provincial Council of Wellington, No. 6, intituled “An Act to promote the establishment of Common Schools in the Province of Wellington” it is enacted that for the purposes of the said Act it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to divide the Province into Districts, and from time to time to sub-divide such Districts and to re-unite any subdivisions, and also by Proclamation to declare that the said Act should come into operation within such district or sub-division at such time as he might appoint. And whereas it is deemed expedient to proclaim the City of Wellington, in the said Province, within the boundaries hereinafter set forth to be a district for the purposes of the said Act.
Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the City of Wellington, as comprised within the following boundaries shall form and constitute a District for the purposes of the said Act, to be called the “City of Wellington School District.”
The boundaries of the City of said Act shall be the same as the limits thereof are settled and described in the plan of the Town of Wellington, Port Nicholson, annexed to a certain Crown Grant of the New Zealand Company, dated the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, under the Seal of the Colony, and under the hand of Sir George Grey, the then Governor of the Colony, and which grant was registered at Wellington on the nineteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty, No. 204, and also such portions of the harbor of Wellington aforesaid comprised in a certain Crown Grant thereof dated the sixteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five.
And also that the said Act shall come into operation within such district on the day of the date hereof.
Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this tenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

Crown Grants.
Crown Lands Office, Wellington, 29th Nov., 1867.
The Undermentioned Deeds of Grant having been duly executed, are now ready for delivery at this office, under the authority of the “Crown Grants Act, 1866.”
A fee of sixpence is chargeable on each Crown Grant for every month during which it shall remain in this office after the expiration of three months from the date of this notice.
In cases where it is impossible for the party entitled to receive the Grant to attend in person, it will be delivered to the bearer of an authority, according to the subjoined form certified by a Magistrate or by a Solicitor of the Supreme Court.
