Reserves for Public and Educational purposes. Featherston.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl
Featherston, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington it is declared that all Reserves for the sites of Townships or Suburban lands for the sites of Agricultural Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health or enjoyment shall be determined by the Superintendent, who shall notify the same by Proclamation wherein the object shall be specified for which any such Reserve shall be made. And whereas it would be of public advantage if certain sections of land in the Township of Featherston in the Wairarapa district were set apart for Educational purposes, and certain other sections in the said township were set apart as Government Reserves for public purposes.
Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf: Do hereby proclaim and declare that Town Sections Nos 61, 62, 104, 162, 188, 212, 244, and 328 Suburban Sections Nos 248 and 250 and Rural Sections Nos 157 and 468 in the said Township...
...are hereby reserved and set apart by me for Educational purposes also that Town Sections Nos 87, 42, 126, 152, 153, 198, 200, 202, 204, 320 and 330 Suburban Sections Nos 116, 120, 122, 123, and 137 and Rural Sections Nos 194, and 389 are hereby reserved and set apart as Government Reserves for public purposes.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
