Appointment of Trustees for College and Grammar School.

HIS HONOR the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint

A. de Bathe Brandon, Esq.,
Edward Pearce, Esq.,

to be Trustees of the lands granted as an Endowment for a College and Grammar School in the City of Wellington.

HIS HONOR the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Speaker of the Provincial Council has appointed

J. Dranatello, Esq.,

to be a Trustee of the lands granted as an Endowment for a College and Grammar School in the City of Wellington.

Election of Wardens, South Makara Road District.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 22nd May, 1867.

NOTICE has been given to this Office, under the hand of the undermentioned Chairman, that at a meeting of the Ratepayers of the above district, held at the School-house, South Makara, on Wednesday, the 15th day of May, 1867, the following persons were elected to be members of the Board of Wardens for the ensuing two years:

  • Mr. James Brunger
  • John Christie
  • Joseph McLevy
  • George Shotter
  • John Catley

Pastoral Land.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 29th May, 1867.

THE undermentioned Sections have been declared to be Pastoral Land, and will be open for selection on and after Monday, the 1st day of July next, viz:

Sections from No. 120 to 144, inclusive, and Nos. 146, 148, 149, and 150, in the Awhea Block, East Coast, containing 23,886 acres, more or less.

Sections, 773 and 782, in the Whareama Block, East Coast, containing 2,259 acres, more or less.

Plans of the blocks, shewing the several allotments, are open for inspection at this office.
