Sittings of Supreme Court of New Zealand,
MIDDLE DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Circuit Court of the Supreme Court for the Middle District of New Zealand, for the Dispatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be held at the Court House in the Supreme Court Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Saturday, the first day of June next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, pursuant to Proclamation, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances as prosecutors, witnesses, or defendants, are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Saturday, the 15th day of June next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, to which time the sittings of the said Circuit Court will be adjourned after the conclusion of the Criminal business.

The Supreme Court will sit in Banoe on Saturday, the 15th day of June next at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.

Examination of School-Teachers.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 10th March, 1867.

THE Inspector of Schools has notified to this office that he has awarded the undermentioned Certificates to Candidates who offered themselves for examination at the Examination of School Teachers held at Greytown on the 19th and 21st February, viz :

  • Mrs. M. Roche, Masterton, a Certificate of competency.
  • Mrs. E. Evans, Morrison's Bush, Certificate of merit, Class 3, Grade B.
