Surveyor under Native Lands Act, 1865.

IN addition to those already Gazetted, the undermentioned gentleman has received a License to survey lands under the Native Land Act, 1865:

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the District Court of Wellington, for the despatch of Civil business will be holden at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, in the Province of Wellington on Thursday, the 15th day of February, 1866, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.

Plaintiffs in Civil actions are hereby informed that the service of all summonses must be effected at least 14 days before the day of Hearing.

Deposit of Plans &c., by Mataongaonga Road Board.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, January 27, 1866.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-mentioned Board has deposited in this Office plans of the following lines of road proposed to be formed, viz.

From intersection of boundary of district with river bank reserve, to No. 3 line in Nixon’s bush, and from No. 3 line in McGregor’s bush, to Eastern line.
Together with a book shewing the names of owners and occupiers of lands on which such highways are intended to be, with particulars of compensation, &c., as required by the District Highways Act, 1862.
Also, that a meeting of the said Board will held at the Red Lion Inn, Campbell Town, on Thursday, the 15th day of March next ensuing, to hear and consider any objections to the works proposed, &c.

Notice to applicants for Crown Grants in exchange for Certificates under the Native Lands Act, 1865.

General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 1st November, 1865.

APPLICANTS for Crown Grants in exchange for certificates under the "Native Lands Act, 1862 or 1865," are requested to take notice that no Crown Grant will in any such case be issued unless a distinguishing number shall have been previously affixed to the section or block of land comprised in the certificate by the Commissioner of Crown or Waste Lands of the Province in which the land is situate.

It will be the duty of the applicant for a Crown Grant to ascertain that such number is affixed as aforesaid, before applying for a grant.
