Defining the Boundaries of the
Township of Palmerston.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington in
the Islands of New Zealand.
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON
Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington in pursuance of the power
vested in me by clause II. of the Additional Land Regulations of the Fifteenth
day of February One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five: do hereby proclaim
and notify that the Block of land situate
in the Manawatu district comprised within the following boundaries, viz. :
Commencing at the Western boundary
of the block purchased from the natives
and called the Ahuaturanga block where
it joins the River Manawatu at Te Weki,
thence running along the Northern bank
of the River Manawatu upwards to the
junction of the River Pohangina to a road
line running across in a Westerly direction to the River Oroua near Te Rua Puha
where the Western boundary of the block
purchased from the natives as aforesaid
joins the Oroua River, thence along the
said boundary to Waikuku and onwards
to the starting point at Te Weki, and computed to contain about fifty-eight thousand
acres and which said boundaries are particularly delineated in the plan annexed
hereto, will from and after this date be reserved as the site of the Township to be
called "PALMERSTON."

PROCLAMATION.

the Province of Wellington in the
Islands of New Zealand.

Wellington in pursuance of the power
vested in me by clause II. of the Additional Land Regulations of the Fifteenth
day of February One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five: do hereby proclaim
and notify that the Block of land situate
in the Manawatu district comprised within the following boundaries, viz. :β
Commencing at Pakenahau where the
Northern boundary of the block purchased
from the natives and called the Awa-hou
Block leaves the Manawatu River, and
following the said boundary to Pukehinau
and Omarupapaku and onwards to the sea
coast, thence by the sea coast in a Southerly
direction to the mouth of the River Manawatu thence along the Northern bank of
the River Manawatu to the starting point
at Pakenahau, and computed to contain
about twenty-five thousand acres and
which said boundaries are particularly delineated in the plan annexed hereto, will
from and after this date be reserved as the
site of a Township to be called "FOXTON."
