IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND—MIDDLE DISTRICT.
In the matter of the Debtors and Creditors Acts, 1862 and 1865:
AND
In the matter of the Petition of
Charles Ward, late a Clerk in Her Majesty’s Customs at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, now a prisoner confined in Her Majesty’s Gaol for debt.
On the fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six:
On reading the Petition of the said Charles Ward, and the several affidavits of the said Charles Ward and Thomas Perkin, filed herein: And on hearing Mr. Izard, of Counsel for the said Charles Ward: It is ordered that the said Petition be accepted, and that the said Petitioner do come up for hearing on the sixteenth day of July next, at the hour of Ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, and that a meeting of the Creditors of the said Charles Ward be held at the Grand Jury Room, Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the ninth day of July next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of recommending Trustees and of the mode of winding up the said Estate: And that in the meantime Robert Austin, of Wellington, Shoemaker, giving security to the satisfaction of the Registrar of this Honorable Court, be appointed ad interim Sequestrator of the said Estate, until the said sixteenth day of July, or until the further order of this Court: And it is further ordered that this order shall be a vesting order in pursuance of the said recited Act, 1865; provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall protect the person of the said Petitioner from any writ of arrest which may issue against him under the Writ of Arrest Act to the satisfaction of a Judge of this Honorable Court, or of a Registrar thereof, in the absence of a Judge.

George Wetherill and John Glenwright.
On the ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six:
On reading the Petition of the said George Wetherill and John Glenwright filed herein, and on reading the several affidavits also filed herein, and on hearing Mr. Izard of Counsel for the said Petitioners: It is ordered that the said Petition be accepted, and that the said Petitioners do come up for hearing at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the sixteenth day of July next, at the hour of Ten o’clock in the forenoon, and that a meeting of the Creditors of the said Petitioners be held at the Grand Jury Room, Wellington, on Thursday, the tenth day of July next, at the hour of Eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of recommending Trustees for the said Estate, and the mode of winding up the same: And that in the meantime Alfred Abraham Barnett be appointed ad interim Sequestrator of the said Estate on his giving security for the due fulfillment of his duties as such Sequestrator to the satisfaction of the Registrar of this Honorable Court: And it is further ordered that this present order shall be a vesting order in accordance with the provisions of the said last mentioned Act: Provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall protect the persons of the said Petitioners or either of them against any process that may be issued against them, or either of them, under the Writ of Arrest Act to the satisfaction of a Judge of this Honorable Court, or of a Registrar thereof in the absence of a Judge: And provided, also, that neither of the said Petitioners shall be liable to arrest under the provisions of the said Writ of Arrest Act for the acts deeds or defaults of the other of them.
