East Harbor Highway District.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the powers and authorities in me vested in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that the part of the Province lying within the limits hereinafter specified shall form and constitute a district for the purposes of the "District Highways Act" namely that part of the said Province on the plan of the Harbor District bounded on the North by the Government Domain and by Sections numbers 18 and 17 in the Lowry Bay District. On the South by Native Land. On the East by the Wai-nui-o-mata District and on the West by the Harbor as the said District and limits are more particularly delineated and described on the plan drawn in the margin hereof and thereon colored red. And such Highway District shall be called the East Harbor Highway District.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington at Wellington this twenty-second day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

Licensed Surveyors under "Native Lands Act."

NOTICE is hereby given that the next Sittings of the District Court of Wellington, for the despatch of Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the 25th day of June, 1866, at ten o'clock in the forenoon.

Appointment of Signal Station Keepers.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, June 12, 1866.

His HONOR the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint

Mr. James Sawyer
to be Keeper of the Signal Station on Barrel Beacon Hill, and

Mrs. Ruth Fraser
to be Keeper of the Repeating Station on Mount Victoria.
