Appointment of Deputy Superintendent.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, intending in virtue of the powers vested in me in this behalf by the "Superintendent's Deputy Act, 1858," of the General Assembly of New Zealand, proclaim and appoint

CHARLES WILLIAM SCHULTZE, ESQ., J.P.,
of Wellington, to be my Deputy, and as such to perform and exercise all such acts and powers as by the said Act I am empowered to confer upon a Deputy.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of L.S. Wellington at Wellington this eleventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

His Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint

A. W. F. HALCOMBE, ESQ., J.P.,
to be Inspector of Schools for the Province. The appointment to date from the 1st instant.

Deposit of Plans, &c., of the intended Upokongaro Road.

Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 15th February, 1865.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Wardens of the Makirikiri District have deposited in this office a survey plan, &c., of the intended Upokongaro Road in the said Makirikiri district, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of the land on which such highway is intended to be, with an estimate of the expenses thereof, and of the quantities of land required for the same, together with a statement of the amount of compensation proposed to be paid to each of the owners and occupiers of such lands, in conformity with the "District Highways Act, 1862," section 22.
