Notice to applicants for Crown Grants in exchange for Certificates under the Native Lands Act, 1865.

General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 1st November, 1865.

APPLICANTS for Crown Grants in exchange for certificates under the “Native Lands Act, 1862 or 1865,” are requested to take notice that no Crown Grant will in any such case be issued unless a distinguishing number shall have been previously affixed to the section of block of land comprised in the certificate by the Commissioner of Crown or Waste Lands of the Province in which the land is situate.

It will be the duty of the applicant for a Crown Grant to ascertain that such number is affixed as aforesaid, before applying for a grant.
