Re Walter Ockenden.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Middle District.

In the matter of the Debtors and Creditors Act;

Upon reading the Petition of the said Walter Ockenden, filed in this Court, and the several affidavits and schedules thereunto annexed, and upon hearing Mr. Izard, of counsel for the said Petitioner, Walter Ockenden, it is ordered that the estate of the said Walter Ockenden be sequestrated into the hands of Robert Rodger Strang, Esquire, Registrar of the Supreme Court, at Wellington, until the hearing of the said Petition, or until the further order of the Court herein. And it is further ordered that a meeting of Creditors of the said Walter Ockenden be held at the Grand Jury Room of the Supreme Court House, at Wellington, on Monday, the 18th day of September next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of recommending Trustees to the Court, and the mode of winding up the said estate. And it is further ordered that the said Petition be heard at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on the eighth day of November next, at the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, and that protection of the person and estate of the said Walter Ockenden be granted until the said eighth day of November next, or until the further order of the Court. And it is further ordered that the said Walter Ockenden be forthwith discharged from the custody of the gaoler at Wellington at the suit of John Foster, or any other detaining Creditor: Provided always that such protection shall be of no force or effect should any Creditors of the said Walter Ockenden be in a position to issue a writ of arrest against the said Walter Ockenden in accordance with the Writ of Arrest Act, to the satisfaction of a Judge or Registrar of the said Court, in the absence of such Judge.
