Township of "Turakina" defined.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Islands of New Zealand.

I ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington do hereby in virtue of the power in me vested in this behalf proclaim that the piece of land situate in the Turakina District in the Province of Wellington aforesaid and the boundaries of which are hereinafter described shall be and is hereby reserved as township and shall be called the township of "Turakina." The boundaries of the said piece of land are as follows namely: a line commencing at the South-Western angle of section No. 33 and running parallel to the Great North Western Road at a distance of about ten chains till it reaches the Northern boundary of section No. 30 and thence eastwards along the boundary to the said Road. The said North Western Road as far as the Western boundary of the portion of section No. 28 belonging to the Trustees of the Kirk of Scotland and thence Northwards along the said boundary to the Kahauraponga stream. The said Kahauraponga stream westwards to the southern boundary of Mr. George Yates Lethbridge’s land and thence still Westwards by the said Southern boundary to the Valley Road thence by the Valley Road and the Great North Western Road to the Turakina River. The Turakina River from the bridge Southwards to the South-Western angle of section No. 33.

Sale of 5s. Land, East Coast

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

I ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington do hereby in pursuance of the Regulations in this behalf proclaim and notify that the several allotments of land in the Whareama Block in the East Coast District in the Province of Wellington and specified in the Schedule hereto except such as may be reserved under the provision hereinafter mentioned will be put up for sale by public auction at the Crown Lands Office in the Town of Wellington on Friday the twentieth day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five at one o’clock in the afternoon.\n
If at any time during the sale it may appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public...
