Land in the Wairarapa thrown open for selection.
PROCLAMATION
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and notify that all that block of land in the Wairarapa District, bounded North by land already open for selection; East by the western boundary of Major Coates’ land; South by the northern boundary of Richard Kebblewhite’s land, and by land already open for selection; and West by the Tararua Range, will be open for purchase and selection, at the Crown Lands Office, Wellington, on and after Thursday, the fourteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, under the Land Regulations of the 4th day of March, 1853, and the additional Land Regulations of the 15th day of February, 1855.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of I.S. Wellington, at Wellington, this first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

In the Matter of “The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862;”

In the matter of the Petition of John William Gay Beauchamp, of Picton, in the Province of Marlborough, surveyor, a debtor.
NOTICE is hereby given that the petitioner, John William Gay Beauchamp, has this day, with the concurrence of Arthur Beauchamp, James McDeth, and William Welford, of Picton aforesaid, merchants, trading under the style of Beauchamp, McDeth, and Company, filed his petition for the sequestration of his estate for the benefit of all his creditors, and for relief according to the provisions of “The Debtors and Creditors’ Act, 1862;” and that Alexander James Johnston, Esquire, senior Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, by an order made this day, has appointed Wednesday, the eighth day of November, 1865, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, for the hearing of the said petition, at which time and place all parties concerned are to attend. And, in the meantime, has directed that the estate and effects of the said petitioner be sequestered and held by Robert Rodger Strang, Esquire, Registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington; and by an order this day made, His Honor has also appointed a meeting of creditors of the said John William Gay Beauchamp to be held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court House at Picton, on Saturday, the twenty-third day of September next, at 12 o’clock noon, to recommend a person or persons to be appointed trustee or trustees of the estate and effects of the petitioner, and to consider and recommend a mode of winding up his estate.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Circuit Court of the Supreme Court for the Middle District of New Zealand, for the despatch of criminal and civil business, will be holden at the Court House, in the Supreme Court Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Friday, the first day of September next, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, pursuant to proclamation, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances, prosecutors, witnesses, or defendants are required to give their attendance.
Notice is hereby further given that the civil cases will not be called on for trial until Friday, the 8th day of September next, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, to which time the Sittings of the said Circuit Court will be adjourned, after the conclusion of the criminal business.
The Supreme Court will sit in Banco on Friday, the 15th day of September next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.
