Fencing Act brought into operation in Carterton.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session I., No. 18,—instituted "An Act to make further provision relative to fencing within districts of the Province," it is enacted that the Superintendent whenever it shall appear to him expedient so to do, may by Proclamation declare that the said Act shall come into operation within any town or district of the Province, and by the same Proclamation declare the limits of such town or district: Now, therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington shall come into operation within such part of the District of Wairarapa as is comprised within the limits of the township of Carterton, as defined on the selection map in the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and delineated hereon.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, 1864.

Carterton Road District.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session IX., No. 10,—instituted the "District Highways Act, 1862" it was enacted that the Superintendent might from time to time by Proclamation divide the Province or any part thereof into Districts, and in like manner subdivide, alter, or reunite the same: Now, therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, the Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby proclaim and declare that all that piece of land situate and being within the limits of the township of Carterton, as defined on the selection map in the Office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and delineated hereon, shall form and constitute a district for the purposes of the said recited Act, and shall be called the "Carterton Road District."

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, 1864.
