NOTICE is hereby given that it has been duly notified to this Office by the Chairman, that the first annual meeting of the rate-payers of the Mangaroa district, was held on the 13th instant, when the following persons were elected as Board of Wardens for the said district.

R. Howard, £315 declined, being greatly in excess of estimate.
N.B.—For Court House at Manawatu, advertised for at same time as the above, no tenders were received.
For portion of Horokiwi district road, accepted or declined by the Board of Wardens.
C. Kelf, £4 17s. per chain, accepted.
H. Damont, £5 10s. per chain.
For portion (163 chains) of the Wainui-o-mata road, accepted by the Board of Wardens.
Thomas Nicholas, £583 15s.
For metalling 70 chains of the Ohariu road, received by the Board of Wardens for that district.

T. Gilbert, £2 4s. 6d., per chain, accepted.

J. Bryant, £2 18s.
Tenders accepted by the Board of Wardens, Kahauraonga district.
For metalling side-cutting near Western Rangitikei church:
W. H. Crawford and Jas. Johnston, £2 18s. per chain.
For metalling side-cutting on Mr. Quarries' land, Turakina:
James Coombe, £2 2s. per chain.
