Militia Notices.

By His Excellency Sir George Grey,
Knight, Commander of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c.

WHEREAS it is provided by the “Militia Acts Amendment Act, 1862,” that the number of days and hours for the meeting of the Militia for any District for training and exercise shall be from time to time fixed by the Governor:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to call out for training and exercise certain portions of the Militia of the Militia District of Wellington:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and execution of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said recited Act, I do hereby fix the number of days and hours during which that portion of the Militia of the Wellington District which may be called out for training and exercise within three months from the date hereof, shall be trained and exercised one day in each week for two hours.

Given under my hand, at Government House, at Auckland, this twenty-third day of December, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
