Upper Waiwetu Road District Defined.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, Session IX, No. 10, intituled the "District Highways Act, 1862," it was enacted that the Superintendent might for the purpose of the said Act from time to time by Proclamation divide the Province or any part thereof into Districts and in like manner subdivide alter or reunite the same: And whereas by another Act of the said Council, Session X, No. 4, the said Act was amended: Now, therefore; I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land bounded as follows—that is to say: On the North by the Northern boundaries of sections 53 (fifty-three) and 55 (fifty-five). On the East by the Eastern boundaries of sections 45 (forty-five), 44 (forty-four), 43 (forty-three), 42 (forty-two), 40 (forty), and part of 34 (thirty-four). On the South by a line drawn through sections 34 (thirty-four), and 33 (thirty-three), parallel with the Northern boundaries of the said sections at a distance of 1770 (seventeen hundred seventy) links on the side lines. And on the West by the Western boundaries of a portion of section 39 (thirty-nine), and of sections 38 (thirty-eight), 46 (forty-six), 47 (forty-seven), 50 (fifty), and 53 (fifty-three), and more particularly delineated on the plan endorsed hereon—shall form and constitute a district for the purposes of the said Act. And, I do further proclaim and declare that the said district shall be called the Upper Waiwetu Road District.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
