Election Notice.

Electoral District of City of Wellington.

IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “An Act to Amend the Law Relating to the Election of Superintendents of Provinces, and Members of Provincial Councils, 1858,” I, CHARLES DUDLEY ROBERT WARD, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Wellington, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the thirteenth day of January, 1864, issued under the hand of His Honor Isaac EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person, to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, for the said Electoral District; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Building on Thorndon Quay, formerly occupied and known as the Resident Magistrate’s Court, on Monday, the first day of February, 1864, at twelve o’clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Tuesday, the second day of February, 1864.

The following places are Polling Places for the Electoral District of the City of Wellington:—

At Wellington:—The Building on Thorndon Quay, formerly occupied and known as the Resident Magistrate’s Court (the principal Polling Place of the District); and

The Stock Yards, formerly known as the Public Market, of Messrs. Bethune & Hunter, in Manners street.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Middle District.

In the matter of Amos Burr, an Insolvent Debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to order made in the above matter, a meeting of Creditors of the said Amos Burr will be holden in the Grand Jury room, at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on Monday, the 8th day of February next, at noon, to take into consideration the appointment of a Trustee, and recommending the best mode of winding up the Estate and all matters and things relating to the Estate and affairs of the said Amos Burr.
