NOTICE.

THAT by an order of the Supreme Court made on Friday, the 22nd day of July, 1864, upon the Petition of Thomas William Rudderforth, it was ordered that an ad-interim sequestration and cession of the estate and effects of John Varnham, of the Wairarapa Valley, in the Province of Wellington, under the provisions of the "Debtors' and Creditors' Act, 1862," should issue, and that the same estate and effects should be taken and held by Robert Rodger Strang, Esq., Registrar of the said Supreme Court, at Wellington, for the purposes thereof, subject to the further order of the Court. And it was also ordered that a hearing in the above Petition should take place on the 8th day of November next.

£1000 Reward.

AVAILABLE GOLD FIELD.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Provincial Government of Wellington will award a sum or sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the amount of One Thousand Pounds Sterling, payable to any one person, or distributable rateably amongst any number of persons, shall discover and make known to the Government the existence of an available Gold field within the Province of Wellington.

All claims for the payment of this Reward, or any portion of it, are to be sent in to the Government, addressed to the Provincial Secretary in the first instance, by whom they will be afterwards referred to the decision of a Commission consisting of three persons, one to be named by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce and two by the Superintendent.

By "Available Gold Field" is meant a district within which Gold shall be judged by the Commissioners to exist capable of affording employment to a body of not less than six hundred (600) diggers at a remunerative rate of wages.

Sale of Valuable Building Allotments in the Town of Wellington, New Zealand.

UNDER authority of an Act, Session III, No. 14, of the Provincial Council of Wellington, intituled "Harbour Reserves," and of an Act, Session VIII, No. 3, of the said Provincial Council, intituled "Harbour Reserves Amendment": Notice is hereby given that the following Allotments of Land, situated in the Town of Wellington, will be offered for sale at Public Auction, at the Office of the Provincial Treasury, at Wellington, on Friday the 11th day of November, 1864, at one o'clock p.m., at the upset prices affixed in the subjoined Schedule:—

Immediate payment in cash of one-tenth of the purchase money shall be the condition of any such sale by auction, and the remaining nine-tenths of the purchase money must be paid by the purchaser within one calendar month after the time of such sale by auction, or the one-tenth of the purchase money which has been deposited will be forfeited, and the original contract for the sale of the land will thenceforward be null and void.

Any further conditions will be published either on, or before, the day of sale. In the mean time, information may be obtained, and plans inspected, on application at the Office of the Provincial Secretary, Wellington.
