Appointment of Sheep and Cattle Inspector.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint
ALEXANDER MCDONALD, ESQ.,
to be Sheep and Cattle Inspector for the Wanganui-Rangitikei District. The appointment to date from the 26th of May last.

Deposit of Plans, &c., Diversion of Road in the Tunahaeri District.

Wellington, 15th July, 1864.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Wardens of the Tunahaeri District intend to make a diversion of a road through the said District, and have, therefore, deposited a book, plan, &c., in this office, and duplicates thereof at the Wanganui Hotel, in the town of Wanganui, being the house at which it usually meets to transact business, and have appointed Thursday, the 25th day of August, at two o'clock in the afternoon, for a meeting of the Board at the Wanganui Hotel aforesaid, to receive any objections to the intended works.

A NOTIFICATION has been made to this office, under the hand of the Chairman of the Board of Wardens of the Makara District, that on the 14th day of May last, John Cately and Thomas Griffiths were elected members of the said Board, in the stead of James Stoodley and John Diamond, who have left the District.
