Vaccination Districts.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the "Vaccination Act, 1863," it was enacted that within three months after the passing of the said Act the Superintendent of each Province of New Zealand should divide such Province or such part of the Province as he should think fit into convenient districts for affording increased facilities for Vaccination, and should from time to time appoint a convenient place or places in each such district for the performance of such Vaccination:

Now, THEREFORE, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, Do HEREBY DIVIDE the Province of Wellington for the purposes of the said Act as follows, viz.:

The Wellington District, shall comprise the City of Wellington, the Town Belt, Evans’ Bay, Ohiro, Karori, Makara, Upper Kai-warra-warra, and Sections, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Harbour District, as severally described on the plans in the Office of the Land Commissioner.

The Hutt District shall comprise the Hutt Electoral District for the purpose of the election of members of the General Assembly, and sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 of the Harbour District.

The Porirua District shall comprise the Ohariu, Takapu, Horokiwi Road, Pahautanui and Horokiwi Valley Districts, as described in the plans thereof in the Land Commissioner’s Office, and the adjacent land.

The Otaki District shall comprise the country from Paikakariki to the Rangitikei river.

The Wanganui District shall comprise the country between the Rangitikei river, and the Northern boundary line of the Province.

The Wairarapa District shall be the Wairarapa Electoral District, for the election of members of the General Assembly.

And I DO appoint the following places in each of such Districts for the performance of such Vaccination, viz.:

In the City of Wellington, the residences of Alexander Johnston, Henry P. Meredith, and Charles France, Surgeons.

In the Porirua District, the residence of Frederick John Knox, Surgeon, Porirua road.

In the Hutt District, the residence of Leonard G. Boor, Surgeon.

In the Otaki District, the residence of Charles G. Hewson, Surgeon, at Otaki.

In the Wanganui District, the residence of James F. Fletcher.

In the Wairarapa District, the residences of Stebbing Revans, H. S. Spratt, John Smith, and Robert Porter Welch.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this tenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
