Delegation under “Diseased Cattle Act, 1861.”
WHEREAS by the “Diseased Cattle Act, 1861,” it was provided that the Governor in Council might by warrant under his hand from time to time delegate to the Superintendent of any Province within the said Colony, all or any of the powers vested in the Governor, or Governor in Council, by the said Act, subject to such regulations as he might think fit, and might from time to time rescind such delegation.
Now, therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority do by this warrant under my hand delegate to
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, ESQUIRE,
so long as he shall hold the office of Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the said Colony, the several powers vested in me by the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Sections of the said Act, subject to be rescinded as in the said Act provided and subject to the regulations issued on the fifteenth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and to any other regulations to be from time to time duly made.
Given under my hand at the Government House, at Auckland, this fifteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

Permission to Mr. C. R. Carter to erect gates.
NOTICE.
MR. Charles Rooking Carter, of Wellington, purchaser of land on the Taratahi plain, Wairarapa, across which certain roads are reserved and laid down in the plans of the said district, is hereby authorised by virtue of the power vested in me by a certain Act of the Provincial Council, entitled “An Act to extend the provisions of the Highways’ Act, 1856” to erect fences and gates across the said roads wherever the same shall cross the land of the said Charles Rooking Carter, provided that such gates can be conveniently opened and shut by any traveller on horseback without dismounting, and are of sufficient width to admit of all usual traffic on the said road by drays, carts, horses, or otherwise howsoever.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition has this day been presented and filed in this Court by George Stuart O’Halloran, of Wellington, in the Province of Wellington and Middle District of New Zealand, Merchant, under the provisions of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862,” for the purpose of having his estate and effects administered under the direction of the said Court. And that the same will be heard before His Honor Mr. Justice Johnston, at Wellington, on Monday, the 9th day of November next, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.
