Gentlemen,

I have the honor to inform you that according to instructions received from Mr Commissioner Lewis, and the Secretary for the Commissioners for the management of the City Reserves, I have checked the Survey of the Town Belt, made by Mr. J. Hughes and upon the whole found it correct. There is, however, a difference of Twenty-five links between Mr. Hughes's Survey and that of Mr. Park, along the Adelaide Road and the Town acres at the South Western extremity of the Town, as shown by the red lines on Mr. Hughes plan. The Crown Land Commissioner has agreed that Mr. Park's Survey shall remain intact and I have checked and altered the Leases accordingly. This discrepancy does not affect the correctness of Mr. Hughes work, as a correct survey.

I have also examined the map supplied by Mr. Hughes, and found the work laid down correctly.

I have also examined and initialed the plans on the leases.
